Williams Lake is in BC’s Central Interior Region, otherwise known as the Cariboo Chilcotin Region, and is famous for the annual Williams Lake Stampede. There is a population of approximately 11,000 residents locally, and 25,000 residents in the surrounding areas. A vast array of lakes, rivers and hiking and biking trails, makes Williams Lake and the surrounding area a great place for outdoor enthusiasts to camp, fish, hunt and play during the summer months while winter months bring the enjoyment of snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing for the winter months. Interior Health is seeking dynamic Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to join our new clinic in Williams Lake, B.C.
As the NP you work with members of the care team at the new Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC). The UPCC team will consist of general practitioners (GPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurse team lead, primary care registered nurses (RNs), social workers (SWs), medical office assistants (MOAs), and a dedicated operational manager.
Focusing on members of the general population with non-life threatening illnesses or injuries who need access to same-day care, including those who are unattached, both those that are on the Patient Attachment List (PAL) actively awaiting attachment in the Williams Lake and those not yet on the PAL. As well as attached patients, that require urgent afterhours care.
Urgent primary care services will be available to the public: 9.30 to 20:30 7 days a week, including statutory holidays

Qualifications:
• Registered member in good standing of the British Columbia College of Nursing and Midwives and conduct his/her practice consistent with the conditions of such registration.
