Internal Medicine / Respirology

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Internal Medicine/Respirology Physician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory and internal medicine conditions, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic respiratory diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations in Internal Medicine and Respirology.

• Diagnose and manage respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary infections, and sleep-related breathing disorders.

• Interpret and oversee diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests, imaging, and sleep studies.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

• Participate in preventive care initiatives, patient education, and chronic disease management programs.

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and, if applicable, teaching or mentoring activities.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

• Certification in Internal Medicine and subspecialty training in Respirology (FRCPC or equivalent).

• Eligible for independent medical licensure in [Province].

• Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing complex respiratory and internal medicine cases.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience in pulmonary diagnostics and sleep medicine is an asset.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
