Northern Health is recruiting a Family Practice/Emergency physician to provide 2 days/week emergency coverage with opportunity for surgical assists and shifts in the Urgent Primary Care Clinic (UPCC) to make up 1.0 FTE. There will be an expectation to join the call group to provide 1:7 coverage as well. As a member of the Emergency Department, you can expect excellent experienced peer support, onsite Critical Care and General Surgery coverage, 24/7 Internal Medicine support as well as FP Anesthesia backup. Radiology & Diagnostic services include onsite 24/7 access to CT/ US, XR and laboratory services.

Further opportunity exists to provide Intrapartum Obstetrics, FP Anesthesia, FP Oncology (training funding available), and OAT clinic shifts (training funding available).

We welcome NEW to practice physicians and have several supports available to ensure that your transition into the community and practice is as smooth and as enjoyable as possible.

GR Baker Memorial Hospital is a 45 bed acute care facility. Services on-site include:

- Internal medicine

- Obstetrics and Gynecology

- Otolaryngology

- General Surgery

- Psychiatry

- Community Cancer Clinic

The 27 million dollar expansion to GR Baker Memorial Hospital's Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit has now been completed and is open to the public. This expansion has improved patient flow, access to imaging and labs, security, privacy & confidentiality, and the alignment of critical care services and staff between the ED and ICU.
