Fraser Health invites you to join an innovative and unique primary health care team located in Mission – a mosaic of rivers, lakes and lands that calls for outdoor adventures in the heart of the Fraser Valley community. In late April 2024, our team launched our urgent and primary care services, with a team complement of 30 FTEs. 

We operate in a team-based care model that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, clinical counsellors, allied health professionals and administrative support. You will participate as a full and active member in the delivery of team-based primary care services. Together, we are dedicated to extending intentional and coordinated care to all members of the community, including the vulnerable and medically complex. Join us to provide timely access to patients, families and caregivers to comprehensive, person-centred, culturally safe and quality care. 

We have flexible scheduling for 4 and 8 hour longitudinal or urgent care shifts.

Situated on a coastal mountain slope overlooking the lush valley of the Fraser River, Mission is a rapidly growing rural centre. Its magnificent mountains, idyllic meadows and natural forest settings blend well with a hometown feeling. A beautiful Fraser Valley community with unique cultural roots, Mission is the site of Canada’s first train robbery and British Columbia’s first rail link to the United States.

Mission

Surrounded by incredible beauty, the District of Mission is nestled on a southern coastal mountain slope, overlooking the lush valley of the Fraser River. This rapidly growing and dynamic center is home to nearly 45,000 residents. Ideally situated, Mission is just a 15 minute drive from the US border, and approximately 70 kilometers easy of the City of Vancouver.

Overlooking the lush valley of the mighty Fraser River, Mission (1892) was originally inhabited by the Stó:lô First Nations people. Surrounded by incredible mountainous vistas in a natural forest setting, our climate is warm in the summer and mild/wet in the winter. Mission enjoys an immense variation of hillsides and gullies which mountain natural neighborhood enclosures, spectacular views, and a sense of permanence.
