Role and Facility Information

The Medical Clinic is staffed by a team of physicians, advanced practice nurses, a social worker/counselor and pharmacists as well as support staff. They offer an interdisciplinary approach to health care, and encourage patients to be active participants in their health as well as to take responsibility for their own health status. The ongoing education of medical personnel is an important aspect of the clinic’s responsibility to the community.

There are 7 Family Physicians (7 FTE) and 2 Nurse Practitioners (1.0FTE) currently working at this CHC, and there is an approximate 1:1 ratio of MOA to FP. There are 2 counsellors and 1 social worker on site daily from 9am-5pm to provide support, in addition to a full-time operations manager. There is active mentorship available through peer group support and weekly meetings. Opportunities for 1:1 mentorship can be negotiated.
