Providence Health Care's Occupational Therapy department is currently accepting applications for both our acute and long-term care teams at various sites. Our OTs are key members of our Allied Health team, working closely with other Allied disciplines like Physiotherapy and Speech Language Pathology as well as other members of our care teams to tackle the rewarding variety of treatment needs of the patient populations we serve. Your duties will include:
-Perform assessments, program planning, interventions, discharge planning, and follow-up using occupational therapy techniques.
-Contribute to patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration, attending team conferences, and participating in quality improvement activities.
-Maintain health records, report workload statistics, and provide clinical supervision and direction to students, aides, and volunteers.
-Participate in educational programs, in-service training, and clinical research activities; stay updated on current occupational therapy developments.
What You Bring:
-Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy and up to one year of experience in the designated area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
-Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
-Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.

Compensation
- Vacation Leave
- As per collective agreement, 150 hours per year during an employee's first four (4} years of continuous service. For each additional year of service up to a maximum of thirty (30) years, regular employees will receive an additional 7.5 hours of paid vacation.
- Estimated Remuneration
- $42.56-52.95
- Benefits and/or Incentives
- Competitive benefits package for eligible employees, from medical/dental benefits (including unlimited massage and physiotherapy) and pension plan to paid vacation and the stability and job security of a unionized position
