Role and Facility Information

Musqueam Primary Care Clinic is looking to hire a nurse practitioner (0.5-1.0FTE).

The panel is fairly divided between male and female patients. Approx. 17% of the panel is over 65 years of age. Time is set aside for charting and case management within opening hours. Typical schedules would be 8:30am-4:30pm per day with some flexibility. About 10-15 patients seen per day. No on-call requirements.

As part of a team-based approach to full-service family medicine, an interested Nurse Practitioner (NP) would work collaboratively within the team and establish their own patient panel as required by the Ministry. This position can be full-time or part-time and is salaried.

This clinic is excited to add an NP to their team who is committed to working together to deliver primary care to the local community. The role is part of the Primary Care Networks (PCNs) initiative in Vancouver. NPs interested in this opportunity should be willing to work as part of a team and support the development of PCNs in the community.

Musqueam Primary Care Clinic is looking to grow their team. They are a family practice providing complex wrap-around care in an Indigenous community. This is a population-based clinic which works specifically with the Musqueam community. The clinic has 2 exam rooms and 2 consult rooms. There are 2 Family Physicians, 2 MOAs, 1 Primary Care Manager, 1 patient navigator, 1 mental wellness clinician, 1 land based healing coordinator. Various allied health clinicians on a monthly basis.

The guiding principles of care at our clinic are culture in everything we do, respectful relationships, unity and advocacy, improving access, community and patient centeredness and sustainability. The goal is to improve health outcomes for the Musqueam people. We do this by understanding and acknowledging the complex care needs within the panel and providing support for empowerment and self agency of each individual.

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm

Other Relevant Information: Easy access to Pacific Spirit trails and Fraser River, group setting with supportive administration, longer appointment times for clients.
