Position Summary
Within the context of a patient and family-centered model of care, and in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Values and strategic directions of Providence Health Care (“Providence”), the Department of Medicine, Division of Respirology, is seeking Respirologist at St. Paul’s Hospital.
A clinical appointment commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate will be sought in the Division of Respiratory Medicine, University of British Columbia. Responsibilities and remuneration will primarily be fee for service for outpatient clinics, without intent for inpatient coverage or pulmonary function test interpretation. Additional remuneration for academic and administrative activities will be negotiated for appropriate applicants engaged in such work. Most office overhead expenses are covered.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an FRCPC certification in Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RSPSC) and must be eligible for licensure in the Province of British Columbia. The successful applicant must have a strong interest in clinic operations and education, general outpatient respiratory medicine, with additional clinical areas of priority including airways disease (asthma and COPD) and pulmonary physiology.
