Specialty Nurse Practitioner

Role and Facility Information

This Vancouver clinic is looking to have a Nurse Practitioner join their clinical team. As part of a multi-disciplinary approach to full-service family medicine, an interested NP would work collaboratively in the team environment and start their own patient panel as per Ministry requirements.

This will be a full-time or part-time salaried position. This clinic is excited to add to their team a Nurse Practitioner interested in working together to provide primary care for the surrounding community of patients. This initiative is part of Primary Care Networks (PCNs) evolving in Vancouver. NPs interested in this opportunity should be willing to work collaboratively and participate in PCN development in the community.

A clinic in the prestigious Oak/Shaughnessy neighbourhood, is looking to grow their team. They are a full-service family practice with 6 exam rooms and 1 shared physician’s office. Currently, 2 physicians work in the clinic, but up to 3 physicians can work in-person simultaneously. Currently, there are 2 full-time MOAs, and more can be hired if needed. The patient population is mostly working-class, ranging in age from young to elderly. Many are early Chinese immigrants and their families. Each physician will pay for their own EMR (Telus MedAccess).

Languages: Cantonese and Mandarin are considered assets

Parking/Transit information:
- 3 parking spots available (one for each physician). Lots of free parking in the vicinity.
- Bus stop located right outside of the clinic.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

On-call hours: None.

Other Relevant Information: The clinic is located a few blocks away from VGH, BC Women’s and BC Children’s hospital. Formerly Shaughnessy Family Medicine, the clinic is well-equipped, and the medical and office staff have a strong working relationship, contributing to a positive and collegial office environment where everyone supports each other.
