Specialty Family Practitioner/General Practitioner

Subspecialty General

Role and Facility Information

Seeking a long-term locum for parental leave coverage starting in September for 3 months initially, with the potential for a longer term permanent position. Fluency in Cantonese is ideal, but Mandarin could work as well. Half-days of in-person coverage are possible too.

75/25 split, negotiable.

The opportunity would have the oncoming physician see patients that have issues requiring an in-person interaction. There is no expectations to see the physician’s full patient load, a panel of 3000+ patients, as they will cover their panel via telehealth temporarily. Remaining paperwork, faxes, and lab results wouldn’t be required.

The physician wants to make sure the oncoming candidate isn't overwhelmed, and they can start as slow as they like and add more patients as they get used to the clinic. If the oncoming physician would like to see more patients and have more volume, they are welcome to! The clinic’s MOAs can assist with booking.

Dr. Jonathan W.K. Ng Inc is looking to expand their team. This solo family practice is centrally located near the future St. Paul’s Hospital, in the heart of Chinatown. The clinic has 2 exam rooms and serves a patient population that is gentle, respectful, and primarily Cantonese-speaking. The demographic includes a mix of geriatric patients, some with chronic conditions, middle-aged patients, and young families. The clinic’s efficient MOA staff are friendly and can assist with translation if needed.
