Are you looking to start a family medicine practice in one of BC's most beautiful communities? Come join our dynamic and collegial group practice of 14 physicians working at the only medical clinic in rural Gibsons, BC located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Our spacious modern clinic has been fully electronic since 1997 and we have been using Med Access EMR since 2008.
Enjoy flexibility in a work-life balance, most physicians work anywhere from 12-30 hours in the clinic per week, although more time is available. You may choose to also provide work at Sechelt Hospital (Anae, ER, OB, or hospitalist). Physicians may take up to 8 weeks vacation per year. The clinic is a training site for 2nd year UBC Family Practice Residents, and we regularly have medical students form UBC if teaching interests you.
Enjoy a leisure lifestyle filled with many recreational opportunities including hiking, mountain biking, and winter sports locally and a 40min ferry ride from Vancouver with easy access to Whistler.
Our community is well supported by local specialists, including General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry. Our hospital has on-site radiologists Monday through Friday, with after hours support provided by Lions Gate Hospital. Local imaging modalities include x-ray, ultrasound (including echocardiography), and CT.
