Role and Facility Information

Northern Health is seeking locum General Internal Medicine Specialists. This position will be a mix of office based, hospital consult, and ICU coverage. The ICU is relatively low acuity.

Income guarantee: $3000/day (inclusive of MOCAP and RRP) plus travel and accommodation ideally for 1-2 week commitment. Clinic space and administrative support provided. Physicians will bill FFS and then submit their billing data to Northern Health. If it is under $3000/day, Northern Health will pay the difference. Overhead coverage for outpatient work will also be covered.

Fort St John Hospital is a new state-of-the-art 55 bed hospital serving a population of approximately 23,000, and is one of two hospitals serving a catchment area of approximately 70,000. The facility offers services including diagnostics, surgery, acute care, ICU, maternity, a community cancer centre, community hemodialysis, visiting specialists clinic, and a prenatal clinic. Other local specialists include Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, and Pathology.
