LONGITUDINAL FAMILY PRACTICE (LFP) PAYMENT MODEL

Northern Health is seeking a Family Physician with full-scope skills/experience (including ER) to join a well-established, full-scope Family Medicine clinic in Fort St John BC, a young and growing community!

The expected commitment is 4 days/week (32 hours) in the clinic/office as well as hospital inpatient work and Emergency Room coverage (8-hour shifts, up to 6 shifts per month). Our clinic uses the Longitudinal Family Practice (LFP) Payment Model.

In addition to clinic/office, inpatient, and ER work, there may be opportunity for additional Fee-For-Service income opportunities, including:

• Surgical assists
• Maternity
• Primary OB
• Advanced OB with C-section (if qualified)
• Outreach to nearby First Nations communities

Fort St. John Hospital is a new state-of-the art 55 bed hospital and 123 bed residential care facility serving a population of approximately 25,000 and a catchment area of approximately 70,000. The Emergency Room sees 25,000+ visits per year.

The region's main industries are agriculture, forestry, natural gas, construction, and transportation.

Moving allowance available: $15,000 if moving from outside of Canada; $12,000 if moving within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if moving within BC. Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) funding is subject to change without notice.
