Nurse Practitioner – Community Maternity Clinic
Location: Chilliwack General Hospital, Chilliwack, BC
Start Date: As soon as a suitable candidate is found
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Contract Type: New-to-Practice NP Service Contract
About the Opportunity
Join a new, innovative maternity clinic located at Chilliwack General Hospital. This outpatient clinic provides prenatal and postnatal care for a diverse population in a team-based environment. Deliveries are not part of this role.

You will work alongside an experienced team of five family physicians, two midwives, and two maternity RNs, collaborating to provide comprehensive care for expectant and new mothers. Group prenatal care and patient education opportunities are available.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver prenatal and postpartum care in an outpatient setting
• Participate in team-based care and patient attachment initiatives
• Provide education and support for patients and families
• Engage in quality improvement and culturally safe care practices
Compensation & Contract Details
• Independent Contractor (not a Health Authority employee)
• Annual Salary: Year 1: $150,000 for 1.0 FTE; Year 3: $160,000 for 1.0 FTE
• Overhead funding provided to support clinic operations
• Flexible options for part-time (minimum 0.5 FTE)
Requirements
• Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Experience in prenatal care required
• Commitment to team-based primary care and patient attachment
• Interest in group prenatal care and education
