Island Health’s Department of Emergency Medicine invites certified emergency physicians to apply to join our progressive, collegial group of 20+ in the oceanfront community of Nanaimo, BC.

The Nanaimo Emergency Physicians Association provides emergency and trauma team leadership services in the busiest emergency department on Vancouver Island in a new, state-of-the-art department. The Nanaimo emergency department is a referral center for the central Vancouver Island catchment area with an annual census of 70,000 patient visits and has back-up from all of major specialties.

Whether your interests are clinical, administrative, educational, research or simply a great place to live and work, practicing emergency medicine at NRGH will meet and exceed your professional and lifestyle goals.

Previous experience working in our department is encouraged and can be arranged.
