Island Health is hiring Occupational Therapists to join our Rehabilitation team on Vancouver Island.

Qualifications
•Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as an Occupational Therapist
•Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy
•A valid British Columbia driver's license may be required for some positions
Responsibilities
•Conduct occupational therapy assessments and treatments for daily living, cognition, physical function, and psycho-social needs.
•Develop and implement individualized therapy programs, including adaptive equipment, splinting, and wheelchair prescriptions.
•Facilitate education and therapy groups to promote patient independence and functional recovery.
•Provide information, reassurance, and coaching to patients, families, and caregivers.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care and ensure effective communication.
•Maintain accurate electronic patient records in compliance with policies and professional standards.
•Contribute to program planning and departmental goal setting aligned with organizational values.
•Participate in quality improvement activities, including audits, feedback, and performance monitoring.
•Act as a resource and mentor to colleagues, students, and other healthcare professionals.
•Engage in continuing education to maintain professional competence and current practice.
•Maintain cleanliness, equipment readiness, and adequate supplies in the work area.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.
