Role and Facility Information

University of Victoria Student Wellness is seeking locums physicians to join our growing healthcare team. UVic Student Wellness (UVic SW) offers collaborative and multidisciplinary care to post secondary students. UVic SW operates a hybrid model of same day and regular appointments of both in-person and virtual care. The UVic SW team includes administrative staff, clinical counselors, physicians, psychologists, registered nurses, and spiritual care providers. Students seek support primarily in the areas of mental health, sexual health and public health.

Average daily patient volume: 16

EMR: Accuro (QHR)

12 Clinical rooms, 13 MOAs, 6 RNs, 1 Clinical AD, 1 Administrative Manager

Daily and monthly parking is available and can be purchased on line.

0 min lunch plus 2x 15 min breaks each day (Dedicated scheduled time for indirect tasks)

• Remuneration for locum: $116.10 plus 6% vacation = $123.07 per hour

• In-person and virtual appointments. Labs checked by Doctor of the day on your off days.
