Role and Facility Information

Island Health’s Division of Anatomical Pathology has an opportunity for one Dermatopathologist to join its subspecialized group practice at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia.

You have a Fellowship in Anatomic Pathology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or its equivalent) and are eligible for licensure in the province of British Columbia. You are an excellent diagnostician with superlative interpersonal and collaborative abilities. You have subspecialty fellowship training and/or extensive experience (preferably five years or more) in dermatopathology. Your primary duties will be in dermatopathology, but experience in soft tissue pathology would also be considered an asset. Participation in the group coverage of the frozen section service is also required. A commitment to teaching is also expected, as you will mentor students of the Island Medical Program at the University of Victoria and physicians from other programs.

In this position, you will be eligible for appointment in the Island Health Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology, and Medical Genetics and as an Associate of the Victoria Pathology Consulting Corporation. You may also apply for a clinical appointment with the Department of Pathology at the University of British Columbia.
