As a Practice Ready Assessment – British Columbia (PRA-BC) training site, we actively support internationally trained physicians transitioning into practice in Canada.
Hands-on mentorship and guidance from experienced colleagues to help you build confidence and independence in your practice.
Optimized Workflow & Administrative Support

1.5 medical office assistants (MOAs) per physician, ensuring efficient patient management.
MedAccess EMR system to streamline documentation and workflow.
Additional Practice Opportunities & Details
Hospital Privileges (Optional): Physicians may apply for hospital privileges if desired.
Emergency Medicine (EM) Coverage: Not required, but local EM opportunities are available for interested physicians.
Walk-In Services: Not applicable—our focus is on continuity of care with an established patient base.
Remuneration & Overhead Costs
Compensation Options:

The greater of 80% of your billings or $200/hour net
Guaranteed minimum of $1,600 net per day
All remuneration options are subject to terms and conditions
Billing Models: Fee-for-Service (FFS) or Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP)

Office Hours & Work Schedule
Clinic Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM (schedule flexibility available while maintaining full-time practice)
Workload: 4-5 days per week

Community Information:

This beautiful medical practice, located approximately 35 minutes north of Victoria, is situated just steps away from Shawnigan Lake; a very scenic growing community that is part of the South Cowichan Valley. It is called the “Warmland” for a reason and boasts the best climate in the country. This area, close to both the lake and ocean, has a wide variety of attractions for outdoor enthusiasts including great hiking and biking trails, golfing, sailing, canoeing and kayaking. In addition to many local artisans, there are also a number of local wineries and other attractions.
