This Mental Health Facility is welcoming applications for a permanent, part-time family physician to join our team in supporting clients on their health and wellness journey. Located at the base of PKOLS (Mt. Douglas) of Blenkinsop Road, our site is surrounded by nature, yet only a short drive to downtown Victoria.

What we Offer:

The Mental Health Facility is an Island Health-operated facility providing the most intensive level of support possible for adults with serious and persistent psychiatric conditions across Vancouver Island. Our 40-bed program provides assessment, stabilization and psychosocial rehabilitation services to individuals living with diagnoses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and bipolar disorder.

Our inpatient care team members include psychiatry, nursing, mental health support, occupational therapy, counselling, pharmacy and social work. As a valued member of this team you would provide longitudinal primary care oversight for up to 40 clients with varying care needs throughout their stay. Ideally able to take into longitudinal practice but definitely not a requirement.

3.5 hr/ week (on-site clinic and further sessional funding available for calls outside of clinic)
