Role and Facility Information

Established private office based broad spectrum family practice in the Alderlea Medical Clinic along side a small group of 7 associate family physicians (3 FT, 4 PT) who share staff, overhead costs and who work cooperatively, cross-covering for each other in times of short absences/unavailability.

Provision of inpatient acute care hospital MRP service for the practice patients is desired, and participation in group call schedule for weekend acute care hospital inpatient rounds is expected. Provision of MRP service for practice patients who are admitted to long-term care facilities in Duncan is also desired.

Start Date:

- September 1, 2025

Hours of Work:

- 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday

Remuneration:

- A variety of payment methods are possible for each physician to chose from including Fee for service and LFP payment models.
- Potentially could apply for NTP (New to Practice) payment model for first two years.

Overhead:

Monthly overhead for each physician associate is based on the number of full and half days that they have allotted exam room space in the clinic.
Current monthly overhead for this position is $6,208.00. From time to time there may be a need to increase monthly overhead payments to cover rising costs.

Benefits:

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including (subject to change):

- Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
- Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
- Flat fee: $6,373.80
- Fee Premium: 4.20%
- CME: $2,200/annum year 3-4 and $4,400/annum after 4 years in the community.
