Island Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse, Community Health Services to join the nursing team at Port Hardy Hospital.
As the RN, you will practice in a variety of clinical settings and works in collaboration with the client, the client's health care team and in partnership with primary care providers. You will utilize a community focused approach, ensuring the delivery of client centered care to achieve and maintain maximum health through the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health and prevention, treatment and palliation of illness and injury, assessment of health status, planning and implementation of interventions and coordination of health services.
What You'll Need to Apply
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Two years of recent, related experience (or equivalent).
- Valid BC driver's license.

Port Hardy Hospital
Port Hardy Hospital has 12 in-patient beds, an emergency department with four stretchers and a trauma room and a long-term care site with 23 residential care beds to service approximately 3,500 residents. Port Hardy Hospital is the low-risk obstetrics site for North Vancouver Island communities. Despite its small size, Port Hardy Hospital plays a vital role with a multi-disciplinary team working closely to provide high-quality care. Our dedicated team ensures that our remote northern communities receive essential medical care and services in a supportive and welcoming environment.
