Role and Facility Information

Island Health is hiring a full-time General Duty Nurse to join the Emergency team at West Coast General Hospital.

In this position, the General Duty Nurse will assess, plan, provide and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards. This is a med/surg nurse role within the ED for admitted/hold patients awaiting bed placement and various ER tasks within a med surg RN scope.

What You'll Need to Apply

- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

- Basic Life Support, Level C required.

- Recognized post-basic education required for clinical areas (or equivalent).

- Two years of recent, related experience.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
