Role and Facility Information

Interior Health Authority is hiring a permanent, part-time (0.74 FTE) Physiotherapist at Invermere and District Hospital (IDH).

Days of work: Monday to Friday

Shift times: 08:30 to 14:33

About this position:

In this role physical therapy is focused on rehabilitation and recovery to clients in acute care, including emergency department visits, and to the residents in long-term care.

Approximately 60 percent of job responsibilities are in IDH, located at 850 – 10th Avenue, Invermere, B.C. And 40 percent of job responsibilities are at Columbia House Long-term Care, located at 1030 – 10th Street Invermere, B.C.

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with professional standards as outlined by the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC), the Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession, department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.
