Position Summary
Interior health is looking for a relief part-time Shift Coordinator to join the team at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, located at in Cranbrook, BC.
Position end date: June 08, 2025, or return of incumbent.
Shift Type: Days, Nights – 07:15 to 19:15, 19:15 to 07:15 rotating
Days off: Rotating

About the role:
The Shift Coordinator practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.
The Shift Coordinator is responsible for patient placement, bed utilization and staffing during weekends, evening and night shifts. Acts as a clinical resource to staff in resolving problems regarding patient care, staffing levels and bed utilization. The Shift Coordinator is accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient centered care throughout the hospital on assigned shift.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Three years’ recent related clinical experience and two years’ recent supervisory experience in a complex health care environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current CPR certificate.
