Role and Facility Information

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Otolaryngologist to join our dynamic team in Terrace, BC. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be providing essential care to a catchment area of approximately 86,000 people.

Currently ENT services are being provided by visiting specialists. At full capacity, Terrace will have 2 local ENT surgeons. There is ample OR time in Terrace, and additional OR time in the surrounding communities. There will be a requirement to travel intermittently to these communities.

The new Mills Memorial Hospital, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, is under construction and is expected to open in January 2025. This presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a new era in healthcare delivery.

Terrace is a vibrant, entrepreneurial and friendly community with a medical catchment area of 31,000 and a total catchment area of 86,000, clean air, affordable life and housing. Historically a forestry industry, Terrace has grown into a regional service town with government and educational social services as the biggest employers as well as strong presence of construction, trades, transportation and growth in manufacturing and tourism. There are three secondary and six elementary schools, one long-distance education and one French emersion, a Northwest Community College campus and a University of British Columbia campus.

Terrace is home to Mills Memorial Hospital, a fully accredited 44 bed, acute care facility, with an average of 24,700 ER visits per year. The state of the art, 560 million dollar New Mills Memorial Hospital will be completed by the end of 2024 affording expanded logistics, space and integrated trauma and elective service delivery potential.
