Terrace is seeking a committed and skilled Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join our team in a permanent position. We are looking for a physician who is passionate about providing high-quality care and is interested in building a long-term practice in our vibrant and welcoming community. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients in the region.
- Participate in a 1 in 4 call rotation, ensuring equitable coverage and continuity of care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Engage in teaching opportunities with medical learners, if desired.
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
The selected candidate will join 3 other Obstetrician-Gynecologists based in Terrace serving the Northwest Regional population of 86,000 people. This position is compensated on alternative payment program, providing security in a fixed salary.

Terrace is a vibrant, entrepreneurial, and friendly community with clean air, affordable life, and housing. Historically a forestry industry, Terrace has grown into a regional service town with government and educational social services as the biggest employers as well as strong presence of construction, trades, transportation and growth in manufacturing and tourism. There are three secondary and six elementary schools, one long-distance education and one French emersion, a Northwest Community College campus, and a University of British Columbia campus.
Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients in November 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, it is a center for trauma services, acute care, surgical services pathology, radiology, clinical support and pharmacy services for the Northwest region. The hospital staff prides itself on delivering culturally safe care to our Indigenous populations.

• 20 Bed Emergency Department with 2 Trauma Bays
• Large Ambulatory Care Unit

• Hemodialysis Unit
• Pediatric Care Space
• MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine services
The new hospital will also include a Tier 3 neonatal intensive care unit and special care nursery, which will provide community-based antenatal and postnatal services, education and parenting support to pregnant individuals.
The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program and residents through the UBC Family Medicine Residency Program.
