Role and Facility Information

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) has an opportunity for a Pediatrician to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Campbell River General Hospital in the beautiful oceanfront city of Campbell River.

The Campbell River General Hospital has 100 beds, serves a referral population of over 300,000 and enjoys an exceptionally collegial atmosphere amongst family physicians and specialist colleagues. Hospital based specialists include: ENT, internal medicine, radiology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, Anesthesiologist, GP anesthesiologists, obstetricians/ gynecologists, pediatrics and pathology.

Campbell River has an average of 400 births per year and a Level I nursery (36 weeks or more). The successful candidate will share call (1:4).

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement including:

Fee Premium - 6.09%

• Annual Flat Fee - $9,437.76

• Recruitment Incentive - $10,000

• Relocation Costs - up to a maximum of $15,000

• Rural CME: Years 3 & 4 - $3000/annum; after 4 years: $6000/annum
