Role and Facility Information

We are a group of 7 doctors looking for someone to join us with a full-time office practice. Option for in-patient, long-term care and maternity if desired. Hours are at the doctor's discretion and very flexible, with a mix of in-person and telehealth appointments. We have a full functional office with LPN's, MOA's, a procedural room, ECG and ultrasound availability, and a full-time billing clerk.

Benefits:

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including (subject to change):

Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)

Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)

Flat fee: $9,437.76

Fee Premium: 6.09%

CME: $2,200/annum year 3-4 and $4,400/annum after 4 years in the community.

Community Information

Campbell River is a seaside gem of about 40,000 people, located on northern Vancouver Island, surrounded by nature. We enjoy a moderate climate with warm, dry summers and mild winters, allowing for outdoor activities year-round. An outdoor enthusiast can enjoy varied activities including boating/fishing, hiking and biking, skiing and golf. Our Community is constantly growing, and for families, offers English public schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with French Immersion program available through some schools.

Campbell River has a fairly new hospital (built in 2018). The community is privileged to have significant specialist support including internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ob/gyn, along with some exceptional emergency room physicians.
