Willow Obstetrics & Gynecology is looking for a generalist Obgyn to provide full time locum coverage for all or any portion of time from Jan-Dec 2025 at the University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George, British Columbia.

Prince George has a population of around 80 000 and is the main referral center servicing the northern half of BC. This locum position would share call with 6 amazing and supportive colleagues and work in an office with for specialists. When there is no COVID slow down, each OBGYN gets 3-4 OR days per month. The locum would have OR time available to them. It's a good mix of gyne and OB. This team works on a consultant basis with skilled family physicians and midwives doing the bulk of primary care. They do deliveries above 30 weeks gestation. There are rural billing incentives.

Locum coverage would include home call coverage, OR, OR assisting, office, and outpatient procedures like HSGs. With approx. 1,200 deliveries per year, UHNBC It is the main teaching center for Medical Students in the UBC Northern Medical Program and provides teaching for UBC Residents in several specialties. The BC Cancer Centre for the North is on the hospital site, offering radiation and medical oncology services. We have medical students and family medicine residents who rotate through our service, as well as a senior OB/Gyn resident on community rotation from UBC for part of the year.

Payment:

Fee-for-Service (FFS) income guarantee (IG) $4670 per 24-hour period inclusive of all income sources. $4670 minimum.

Travel, accommodation, and car rental covered.

Travel stipend: $250 - $1,500 based on time. Maximum $1,500 per round trip.
