Northern Health is seeking a skilled General Surgeon to join the medical staff at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC), the regional tertiary center for Northern BC.

FRCSC certification required
Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
Training and experience in colorectal and general surgery required.

As the regional tertiary care center for Northern BC, UHNBC serves a vast geographical area, providing specialized and advanced medical services. UHNBC is 280 bed hospital, Level 3 Trauma Center, affiliated with the UBC Northern Medical Program, the UBC Family Medicine Residency Program and other associated healthcare training programs.

Currently, UHNBC provides advanced procedures, including Interventional Radiology, EVAR, Pediatric MRI, Vascular Surgery including Open abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy and Complex general surgery procedures such as Whipple resection, esophagectomy and future liver resections. Join a team of 9 general surgeons with opportunity for private practice, access to shared perioperative, ambulatory care resources and MOCAP funded call service. Surgical colleagues include: OB/GYN, orthopedics, Plastics and urology. With highly complex and critically ill patients, UHNBC offers a dynamic and engaging medical environment.
