Hornby Island Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to join our collaborative, community-focused team. Hornby Island Medical Clinic is owned and operated by Island Health and provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to a vibrant island community of approximately 1,000 permanent residents.

This position offers:

Support from two experienced clerks and a Registered Nurse
Membership in the Primary Care Network (PCN), providing integrated team-based care
On-site access to Mental Health, Social Work, Dietitian, and Pharmacy services
Flexible scheduling options, including:
Current rotation of one week on, one week off
Opportunity to work one virtual-care week and one on-site week per month
Optional participation in a 1-in-3 call schedule, only falls on ‘week on’ compensated in addition to service contract
Any interest from 0.5 FTE to full-time will be considered
This role provides the opportunity to deliver comprehensive longitudinal family medicine within a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.

Benefits

Physicians may be eligible for additional remuneration through the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:

Recruitment Incentive: Up to $20,000 (prorated based on FTE)
Fee Premium: 15.86%
Annual Flat Fee: $24,570.72
Rural CME starting at $1,320 for up to 2 years, $3,520/annum in year 3&4 in community, increasing to a maximum of $5,720/annum after 4 years.
