Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre in Surrey are looking for a Care of the Elderly physician to join our team!
Fraser Health is one of Canada’s fastest growing health authorities, serving over one third of the population in British Columbia. The Older Adult Service in Fraser Health provides a network of clinical services including nine acute care sites as well as community Specialized Seniors Clinics and outreach sites. Our hospitals are affiliated with the University of British Columbia and offer opportunities for clinical practice, as well as teaching and academic research.
North Surrey boasts a diverse community with plenty of parks, green spaces, and trails. The area is also well-connected, with excellent transportation links to the rest of the region, making it easy to get around without a car. Additionally, North Surrey is home to a variety of cultural institutions, restaurants, and shopping centres, making it a vibrant and exciting place to call home.
This is a part-time position (0.3 FTE) expanding outpatient geriatric services at a site with an already active Specialized Seniors Clinic in Surrey. This position involves outpatient practice at the Specialized Seniors Clinic. There is no expected weekend or evening call. Remuneration is through the Ministry of Health Alternate Payment Plan Service Contract model. The successful candidate will join our current geriatricians and care of the elderly physicians in Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre in Surrey and contribute to academic and teaching components of the Service.
Qualifications:
• Care of the Elderly Certification through the CCFP
• Full License to practice in BC
• Strong collaborative interpersonal and inter-disciplinary skills
• Eligibility to apply for a clinical faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia.

Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre is a community outpatient site with specialized medical clinics, diagnostic testing, and day surgery and procedures.
