Role and Facility Information
Fraser Health, in collaboration with the UBC Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Specialist. This full-time funded position will involve a variety of clinical care responsibilities, academic involvement, and MFM on-call service in Fraser Health. Clinical work will include pre-conception and antenatal care for both inpatients and outpatients. A clinical faculty appointment in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of British Columbia will be required.
In addition to providing evidence based clinical care in maternal medical and obstetrical complications, fetal diagnosis and procedures, the candidate should have demonstrated success in clinical teaching and have interest and/or experience in health care administration, quality assurance, and/or clinical research. The candidate will be involved in an expanding tertiary perinatal service and will need to participate in the ongoing process of designing and strengthening the service. Strong communication skills, sonography skills, and desire to work in a multidisciplinary environment are key attributes for this position.
Qualifications:
- FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Completed or in-progress Royal College accredited Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship.
- CPSBC licensure eligibility or full licensure.
