Fraser Health Authority (FHA) Midwifery Division within the Regional Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is pleased to announce vacancies for provisional privileges for midwives at several sites across Fraser Health. The following sites have available vacancies this year:
-Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre
-Burnaby General Hospital
-Chilliwack General Hospital
-Langley Memorial Hospital
-Peace Arch Hospital
-Surrey Memorial Hospital
-Ridge Meadows Hospital
-Royal Columbian Hospital
Role Overview
Members of the FHA Midwifery Division are autonomous health care professionals who provide care primarily in community-based clinics. Successful candidates must maintain medical staff privileges in accordance with FHA Medical Staff Rules and Bylaws.
FHA medical staff are expected to:
-Participate in Division committee work
-Attend regional division and local department meetings
-Adhere to mandatory vaccination policies

-Qualifications: Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and Membership with the Midwives Association of British Columbia (MABC)
-Compensation: Fee for service
-Closing date: April 25, 2025
-Anticipated start: July 1, 2026.
