Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (REQUIRED)

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing

• Current license or eligibility for licensure with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (CONSIDERED AN ASSET)

• Certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) by the Canadian Diabetes Educator Board

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

-Provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to healthcare providers in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based diabetes care.

-Develop, implement, and evaluate culturally safe, strength‑based diabetes programs across primary care and community settings, including virtual services.

-Deliver direct diabetes education and person‑centered clinical support, including assessments, diagnostics, medication support, and self‑management coaching.

-Champion cultural safety, trauma‑informed practice, and equitable access to diabetes resources, services, and care.

-Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, integrated, and person‑centered diabetes care.

-Lead and participate in quality improvement, policy development, and protocol implementation to strengthen diabetes management systems.

-Engage with communities, partners, and professional networks to support advocacy, capacity building, and community‑led diabetes initiatives.

-Support and contribute to the Regional Diabetes Strategy’s central hub, ensuring consistent, high‑quality diabetes care so no one is left behind.

Salary Range: $102,490-$125,736
