Foundry is removing barriers and increasing access to health and wellness services for young people aged 12–24 and their families through a network of youth-friendly centers across British Columbia and online. By offering integrated mental health care, substance use services, primary and sexual health care, youth and family peer support and social services, Foundry makes it easier for young people to find support in their communities. Online resources and virtual care further broaden Foundry's reach.
In accordance with a patient- and family-centered model of care and, in support of the Mission, Vision, Values, strategic direction and commitments of Encompass Support Services Society and Foundry BC, this position promotes a safe, respectful, and team-based care environment for patients, families, visitors and staff.
Reporting to the Foundry Langley Medical Director the Family Physician, along with the primary care team, provides episodic, enhanced and longitudinal services. They must be able, or willing to train, to support gender-affirming care, opioid agonist therapy and contraceptive support.
Interventions may be provided on a 1:1 basis, to families, on outreach and to group. Flexibility in hours and availability outside of typical office hours will be required to support drop-in hours and potential outreach.
