Job Summary
Bring your clinical expertise and passion for providing quality, compassionate care to a challenging and rewarding role as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) on the Hyperacute Stroke Unit at Royal Columbian Hospital, in New Westminster, B.C.

As a key member of a progressive and dynamic stroke neurology team, the NP provides expert consultation and specialized care for patients in the hyperacute phase of stroke, ensuring rapid assessment, intervention, and coordination of time-sensitive treatments such as thrombolysis and endovascular therapy. The NP supports patients across the full continuum of stroke care from emergency consultation to inpatient management, contributing to improved outcomes through early diagnosis, acute stabilization, and advanced clinical management.

Working in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary Stroke Team—including Neurologists, the Stroke Outreach Nurse, Stroke Coordinator, and Allied Health professionals—you will play a central role in delivering high-quality, evidence-informed care. RCH first opened in 1862, is a vital referral centre and regional centre of excellence for trauma, critical care, cardiac care, maternity, neonatal intensive care and neurosurgery. When the full redevelopment is complete, the people of British Columbia will have increased access to cardiac, trauma, mental health, maternity and NICU services and beds.
