Role and Facility Information

Royal Columbian Hospital Cardiac Services is looking for a physician to assist with their cardiac surgical
program. This involves assist with the cardiac surgeon and harvesting of vein and radial artery. Cases start
at 8:00 am, 5 days a week and the assists are involved in 2 cases a day. Training to competency usually
requires 4-6 months. It is expected that new assist commit to a minimum of 2 days a week for the initial 4-6
months to achieve competency and join the regular schedule. Previous surgical experience is a requirement.
Compensation Type: APP contract
Estimated Yearly Remuneration: Dependent on number of days worked in a month
