Role and Facility Information

To be successful in this role you will have/be –

Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of BC Nursing Professionals (BCCNM)
Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a Canadian University or recognized equivalent.
Current Basic Life Support, Level “C” certificate.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License and own vehicle.

Experience

1-2 years recent experience in public health and home care nursing.
First Nations experience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Apply nursing knowledge and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions based on evidence, legislation, regulations, and policy.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret health information from multiple data sources to make evidence informed decisions for individuals, families, groups, and communities.
• Provide individualized, client centered care by identifying what matters most to clients/families, assessing health status, setting priorities, and aligning professional services with client goals.
• Coordinate Community Health and Home Care programs, promoting family and community support while encouraging client independence.
• Establish therapeutic relationships and provide emotional support by understanding client and family perspectives, learning needs, and priorities.
• Supervise and provide direction to Home Support Workers, ensuring safe and appropriate care delivery.
• Use evidence and research to influence health policies and programs, addressing population health, health inequities, determinants of health, and strategies for prevention and health promotion.
• Advocate for and apply culturally relevant, culturally safe approaches when building relationships and delivering nursing services

Salary Range: : $94,724- $114,264
