Clinic Description:

Interior Health is seeking dynamic Nurse Practitioners to join our team at the Ashcroft Urgent and Primary Care Centre (“Ashcroft UPCC”).

The Ashcroft UPCC offers urgent care with 3 treatment bays and 1 treatment room with plans to expand into the previous medical clinic on site. The UPCC oversees care for residents of the 22-bed long-term care facility co-located onsite with monthly rounds and open communication for urgent needs. A range of outpatient and ambulatory care services are available including basic radiology, laboratory, dietitian/diabetes, mental health and addictions, public health, home health and adult day care. The nearest major medical centre for community transfer is Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, 93 kms away. The Ashcroft UPCC is open 7 days a week from 0800-2000.

Practice Description:

Interior Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to join our Urgent and Primary Care Centre in Ashcroft.

Ashcroft is part of the Thompson Cariboo Primary Care Network (PCN) a collaborative partnership between the Rural and Remote Division of Family Practice, Interior Health, and the Nlaka’pamux Nation. The Ashcroft UPCC will operate within the current Ashcroft Health Centre on the homeland of the Nlaka’pamux people.

Qualifications:

•Current registration and exam-qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

•Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).

•Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.

Compensation:

Compensation is provided hourly, based on Year 3 of the current provincial PCN contracts for Nurse Practitioners. Invoices are submitted monthly.
