About the Position

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care. Your expertise and compassionate approach will ensure that our patients receive the best possible treatment and support.

What You Will Need to Apply

- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

- Completion of a recognized advanced program in emergency care nursing or two years of recent, related experience (or equivalent).

- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 2 years (yearly preferred).

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care Canada (EPICC) certification preferred.

Port McNeill Hospital

Port McNeill Hospital has 10 in-patient beds, an emergency department with four stretchers and a trauma room to service community members. The regional observation room is certified under the Mental Health Act. Cormorant Island Community Health Centre, a scenic 40-minute ferry ride from Port McNeill, has 4 in-patient beds, an emergency department with two stretchers, a trauma room and 10 residential care beds. Some positions based in Port McNeill will make regular trips to Cormorant Island, supporting the 1,500 residents who live there.
