Role and Facility Information

PR-MSK Clinic is a well-established clinic located in the oceanside town of Powell River, within the qathet Regional District. PR-MSK is seeking full-time or part-time physician(s) to join its current team of three. We would love to meet you if you are an MSK or Sports Medicine Physician considering a flexible practice in a medium-sized rural community. We invite you to visit the clinic as a locum and experience what life and practice in qathet can look like.

Your responsibilities:
• Assess MSK presentations and associated medical conditions.
• Request investigations (XR and CT done locally)
• In office ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment
• Develop treatment plan and provide treatment
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations in accordance with the needs of the referral source.
• Function as a resource to members of the local primary care network.

Flexible scheduling hours. General clinic availability Monday to Friday. No on call work.
The clinic uses Jane as its EMR.
The office is supported by highly experienced, long-standing MOAs who contribute to the clinic’s excellent work environment.

The qathet Regional District offers a wide and varied range of sport, recreation, and outdoor adventure opportunities, including mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, golfing, boating, hiking, fishing, and scuba diving. The community centre is equipped with two ice rinks, as well as lap and leisure pools. Powell River is also home to the Kings Junior A hockey club. Arts and culture enthusiasts will find many outstanding programs and festivals offered throughout the year.
