Clinic Details:

Our new UPCC located in the Northhills Mall on the North Shore of Kamloops features a large purpose-built design with many exam rooms and an abundance of free parking.

The new North Shore UPCC sees patients who might normally go to a family doctor or nurse practitioner for their ailment, if an appointment had been available. Patients will typically be seen by a physician, but they may also be seen by a physiotherapist, a nurse, a social worker or other clinician, depending on the nature of their injury or illness.

There is an increased number of team-based care available by referral at the Urgent Primary Care Centre for non-life threatening illnesses or injuries that need same-day care. With a hybrid walk-in and phone-in access model, patients will have choices and low-barrier access to care.

The team provides care for:

• Less serious injuries

• Lacerations/wounds/skin conditions

• Infections

• Minor pediatric illness/injury

• Women’s health

• Culturally safe care
