Position Summary

Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, B.C. is seeking a motivated and highly organized permanent part‑time Registered Nurse Clinical Mentor to join and support our Operating Room team. This role plays a key part in guiding, coaching, and fostering excellence within the perioperative environment. Candidates must hold current Perioperative Nursing Certification and bring a passion for leadership, collaboration, and high‑quality patient care.

Hourly Wage: $49.20 - $63.47

What you will work on:
The Clinical Mentor role functions as an experienced clinical mentor, resource, and champion in the delivery of excellent client care to nurses and other team members. Working in conjunction with the nurse educators, provides rapid elbow-to-elbow clinical mentorship and practice support for nursing staff. Utilizes experience and clinical skills to function as a clinical resource to formally advise other nursing staff in nursing practice, provides clinical instruction and supports staff training and development. Takes on leadership role in performing functions such as mentoring staff to support skills development and supporting clinical practice initiatives.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Three (3) years of acute care in Perioperative nursing practice including experience mentoring new graduate nurses as well as leadership training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Valid B.C. Driver’s License
