Role and Facility Information

Emergency Physician

The Abbotsford Department of Emergency Medicine is recruiting into our collegial and excellent group of physicians. We seek to fill 2 full time positions.

Our dynamic group is composed of an ideal mixture of very experienced physicians and more recently trained ER doctors. We have had great success incorporating new grads into a department supportive of their specific and growing skill set, and we are happy to consider applications from exam eligible ER residency grads. CPSBC US certified class of registration acceptable.

We are a full service regional referral center with 8 daily shifts. We are compensated on a fee for service basis. The work is both challenging and rewarding. We have an interesting case mix, including about 20% pediatrics. We are an accredited level 3 trauma center, and interested candidates might consider becoming part of the trauma service. Specialty support in all other key areas is excellent.

A major ER expansion has been announced and will be operational within 2-3 years.

We have robust and highly respectful interpersonal and professional relationships within our group, with active engagement in monthly educational rounds and administrative meetings.
