Our hospital and community-based services are delivered by a team of 45,000+ staff, medical staff and volunteers dedicated to serving our patients, families and communities.

Fraser Health Authority (FHA) and the Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) program in Surrey Community are seeking psychiatrists to join the Urgent Care Response Centre (UCRC) located adjacent to Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) campus.

The UCRC, aligned with the priorities of the BC Ministry of Health and FHA, offers a service aimed at providing prompt and tailored care to individuals in crisis. This model of care is built around an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers, ensuring a consistent approach focused on crisis management, service connection, and communication with community care providers.

The UCRC serves individuals in crisis who may walk into the clinic, be referred by their primary care providers, diverted from the emergency department, or brought in by Emergency Health Services (EHS) or the Police following a pre-screening to ensure suitability.

Operating hours for the UCRC are from 0730 to 2330 daily.
