Role and Facility Information
Langley Pediatrics hopes to hire a new pediatric consultant to join the 9 pediatricians providing on-site service. The program provides inpatient (9-bed pediatric ward, 5-bed Level 1B nursery) and outpatient (rapid access clinic, IV therapy clinic) services. The maternity ward sees about 1500 births per year; the emergency department sees about 6000-7000 pediatric patients per year; and, our Rapid Access Clinic (SNACK) has seen almost 2000 patients in its first 20 months! A large number of pediatricians allows for schedule flexibility with call - expectations from 1 in 5 to 1 in 7. Call is divided into daytime (9-6) and evening time (6-9) and is quite palatable.
We seek enthusiastic individuals, and team players who enjoy teaching and are interested in professional growth throughout their careers. NRP is a requirement and PALS/APLS are given high priority. CPSBC US certified class of registration acceptable.
