In British Columbia’s beautiful South Peace Region a strong collaborative partnership approach has led to the co-creation of the South Peace Primary Care Network (PCN). Anchored by a locally Co-Chaired Primary Care Network Steering Committee that is dedicated to providing quality team based primary care to patients and families, the South Peace is seeking a Nurse Practitioner.
South Peace Primary Care Network is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a primary care clinic in Dawson Creek, supporting patients across the South Peace. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide longitudinal primary care to patients of all ages in a collaborative, team-based environment. The NP will attach a patient panel and participate in the Provincial Attachment System and supports integrated and patient-centered care.
The NP will work alongside family physicians, medical office assistants, and allied health providers in a supportive setting that values continuity, access, and high-quality patient care. The clinic uses the Med Access (EMR).
Key Responsibilities
• Provide longitudinal primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Attach patients in alignment with Provincial Attachment System (PAS) guidelines.
• Use Med Access EMR for documentation and care coordination.
• Collaborate with family physicians, MOAs, and other allied health professionals within a team-based environment
• Participate in quality improvement and clinic-based initiatives.

About Primary Care in Dawson Creek
Dawson Creek’s primary care clinic, the Rimrock Health Centre, operates within a team-based model supported by the South Peace Primary Care Network (PCN). Clinics typically include family physicians, nurse practitioner, medical office assistants, mental health providers, and allied health staff. Med Access EMR is used across most practices, supporting integrated documentation and coordinated care pathways.
About Dawson Creek & District Hospital
Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a regional hospital serving the South Peace. The hospital provides emergency care, inpatient medical and surgical services, maternal and newborn care, diagnostic imaging, and specialty clinics. It supports both urban and rural communities and plays a key role in medical education within Northern Health. A replacement hospital is currently under development, marking a major investment in the region’s healthcare future.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree from a BCCNM-approved NP program.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with BCCNM.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-based model.
