Based on the south side of Flores Island is the small town of Ahousat, home to the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation. The community of Ahousat is known for its 'Walk the Wild Side trail', a boardwalk that extends 10km from Ahousat to the top of Mount Flores. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and wilderness, many tourists come to the town to camp and hike.
